Klara's 2nd Birthday!

Klara didn't realize it was her birthday or what a birthday really was until we brought out the cake. "Now I'm finally 2! Woohoo!"

"Okay - playdough is nice and all - but let's get to the next gift!"

"Now this is what I was waiting for.... a doll!!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa McCombs!!"

Fourth of July - Brrrrrr?

Here we are on July 4th doing our fireworks. Notice all the blankets and jackets. It was very cold. Isn't it supposed to be warm around here in July? The boys were trying to create a fantastic pyrotechnic display and all light off a firework at the same time. It didn't work out. One would light it sooner than the other. So to avoid being set on fire the others had to forfeit the lighting of their firework. Oh well, it made a small bunch of cheap fireworks a little more interesting. The favorite firework of the night was called "moonshine" which was so loud we couldn't hear much afterwards. It was a fun night.

Sandberg Family Reunion 2010

We had lots of fun, food, dancing, hiking, boating, visiting at the family reunion. It was held at the Heber Valley Camp in Heber, Utah. Uncle David and Aunt Marie planned it all. We had a great time.

I kept trying to get Klara to smile with her eyes open, but I guess in her mind, if you are going to smile, your eyes have to be closed.

The Hall Family at Aberdeen Daze 2010

Today was a fun day. It was Aberdeen Daze here in Aberdeen, ID. We started with the free breakfast. The wait was pretty long considering we didn't get there until 9 am. The line was all the way through the park and into the next block. We decided to sleep in because we were up so late again last night. Abbie and James, Phil and Kelsey, and Maren and Aaron and all of their kids are here. Last night we all came here to our house and had a fire in our firepit and roasted marshmallows. It was fun. This whole week has been fun with Abbie and James here. It has been almost two years since we have seen them. Abbie and James are just such fun people. They are moving to SLC on Monday. The men are having a World Cup Soccer Party and some of the ladies went to see Footloose in American Falls. We also took the kids to see the parade this afternoon. In small towns like this, parades are all about candy and we came home with a "boat load" of it.
